Site Indexing

When you create a new web site or blog you want it to show-up in search results from Google, Yahoo or Bing. This is a two step process. The first step is to get your site or blog indexed. That means you want Google, Yahoo and Bing to have your site listed in their big index of web sites. The second step is ranking. Ranking is where your web site or blog shows up in the earch results when people search keywords related to your site or blog. Getting ranked on the first page of the search engine results is the path to making money online. Why?  Because if your site is ranked on the first page you are much more likely to get someone to click on your link and visit your site.  Most folks chose a site from the first page of the search results.

The techniques to improve your ranking are part of "Search Engine Optimization", or SEO.
